I can’t remember how long it’s been since I’ve last revelled in a new world between the pages of a good damn read with my bedtime fluffy socks on and a mug of hot black coffee by my side (no sugar and no milk because that’s for the weak).

Whilst shopping, I managed to spot a few bargains as per usual, in one of my favourite shops ever – Urban Outfitters.
This Mexican baja hoodie is life. I love slouchy comfy throw on’s for a care free and effortless outfit. It’s in a men’s XXL but there was no way in Hell I was going to pass this up when the price tag was £9 with my student discount. Happy days!
Shampoo was high on the priority list and I was thrilled to find these gems. Henna is widely known to have great and healthy properties for the hair so seeing it infused in the Henné Color shampoos was a treat. And at £2 each, you can’t go wrong. The Lab 35 shampoo was also £2 and is perfect for my curly hair as it provides the hydration it needs as it can get dry and damaged. The Clear Skies Ahead’s Soothing Anti-Stress Spray is a floral essential oil contraption that can help aid your sleep or stressful times. I’ve never used an essential oil spray before but this is very soothing and calming as it has lavender and ylang ylang so I would definitely recommend it.
Overall, I made some essential purchases at a bargain price. Can’t beat a good bargain sesh! What do you like bargain hunting for and where?

Autumn has arrived yet once again; the leaves are turning rustic hues of copper and auburn, the cold wind greets the streets and the rain pours peacefully from the clouds of grey. Damn. London never looked so beautiful in all its glory. I used to hate autumn and winter (and the British rain) because I could never hack being cold – up until last year I wore five hoodies to bed, no joke. However, now it is a completely different story.
As we enter the colder months I realised that it is actually quite therapeutic watching and being in the rain. Maybe it’s because I am a nature girl. And we also shan’t forget about those Pumpkin Spiced Lattes and the heavy use of cinnamon in baking or the fact that a mug of hot green tea or black coffee can be sipped by the cosy fireplace.
But moving on from the autumn appreciation, I want to talk about my three month hiatus. Read more »

The sun’s out, the temperature’s risen and festival fever’s in the air.. but do you have your summer drink at the ready?

I hope you all had a blessed Valentine’s Day despite whether you are single or not. Although, strictly speaking, I’ve always believed that everyday should be Valentine’s Day and that the day itself is a money making gimmick. Anywho let me not rant because this post is all about sleepwear.
I’ve been thinking a lot about those dreamy summer nights and various sleepwear styles lately. That’s when I thought to myself “hold on, why can’t we be fashionable as we sleep?!”. I proceeded to look in my sleepwear collection and realised that these outdated cow printed pyjamas just cannot do. So as I update my sleepwear compartment, I figured that I’d help you guys out in the process with my take on a classic, chic yet sultry look when it comes to slumber attire.

So after watching Coldplay’s official music video for ‘Hymn for the Weekend’ a number of times, I have established the fact that I am completely in love with the cinematography (and song of course). However as an Indian myself, I felt the utmost compulsion to address some controversy that I have been seeing online.

So this week I took a new challenge to bake something over the top yet beautiful for my sister’s birthday. And so I wanted to share with y’all a new found tip.
🌼🌺🌹 ADORN YOUR CAKES WITH FLOWERS! 🌹🌺🌼
I’m an avid gardener and I absolutely love flowers seeing as I grew up around them. When I was 4, my safe haven was the wall of heavily scented jasmine flowers. A little younger and I was the ultimate wisteria queen.

For those of you that are obsessed with the Ethiopian musical and literary genius that goes by the stage name of ‘The Weeknd’ like I am, then it is with no doubt that you would have whooped with laughter at the screenshot above.
The Weeknd aka Abel Tesfaye remained anonymous whilst posting songs on YouTube in 2010 and dropping three mixtapes named ‘House of Balloons’, ‘Echoes of Silence’ and ‘Thursday’ back in 2011. After recognition and an online spur of interest from many, Trilogy became released as a remastered edition of the three mixtapes followed by another album named ‘Kiss Land’. And today? Well the 25 year old has only gone and blessed the world’s ears yet again with another studio album. So of course, as an avid listener and soul jammer to the crisp content of Abel’s creations (and a musician myself), I figured it was absolutely necessary to praise his work and celebrate today’s release of his brand new album.
